Medusa The Celt
In 2010 True West teamed up with members of two Cornish theatre companies, Cube and Bedlam, and produced the new, original play Medusa The Celt, a re-telling of the myth of Perseus. Written and directed by Nick Whitby it ran at a dozen outdoor sites across Cornwall, including in the ruins of Chysauster ancient village, the Plen-an-Gwarries of Redruth and St. Just, and Pendennis and St. Mawes castles. The collaboration was described by The Cornishman as "a triumph... engrossing, mythical, and magical", and on local radio as "brilliantly told tragicomedy at it's finest - gruesome, bloody, subtly funny and cleverly written."
